The Nipawin Journal/N.E. Sun, a weekly publication owned by Bowes Publishing has a circulation of 5,000. The Parkland Review is also locally owned and operated from Nipawin. Distribution to 21,500 houses in the area is carried out bimonthly. Daily papers from major cities are available at local newsstands or by home delivery.
The Carrot River "Coffee Mate", produced in Carrot River, is distributed to Carrot River businesses bimonthly.

Carrot River enjoys reception from many radio stations across the prairies. Two stations within 180 kms provide excellent coverage of news and services to our area.
