| Extremely interesting! I lived in Carrot River for about 10 years but left there in 1953. I was not aware of prehistoric life in this area so was fascinated with all the info on that subject. Great site! | ||

| My grandparents, Severin and Syverine Pedersen used to live near there, and someone might remember my uncles Peter, Bert, Alfred, Joe, Ollie, Harold, and Bob...all Pedersen of course. I'm thinking of visiting the area later in the summer. | ||

| this is awesome i never new there was a site for carrot river my dad's family is from there and my great grandpa sauder (howward) was one of the first groups of settlers there and died just last summer. i come bak there hunting in the fall with my dad and i am good friends with the reeve (john steevenson) but thats awesome | ||

carrot river is a great town. i liver there for 6 or so years until i moved to alberta. i miss the town and the kind people. i look forward to the times when i go back to visit. i still have family living their Frank Lalkowski and Dwayne Lalkowski, my grandpa and my uncle. it is i great place to grow up and i truly miss it. | ||

| EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!
If someone could tell me the name of the little Mennonite Church outside of Carrot River, I would be delighted. It might be in the old Silver Echo area, Petaigan or Blue Jay area. I am trying to find a way to get a photo of the building, and the grave marker of my grandfather. If anyone can help please e-mail me. I am really needing to learn more about my roots, so I can pass it on. I never want to cover my Mennonite heritage, I am very proud to say I am Mennonite. | ||

| Hi Id like to find out some information on my grandmother and grandfather,I was told that the were buried in the graveyard near by.They died some time in the late 50's or 60's.

I was born in Carrot River in 1936,my name is Eva [Milligan]McCauley. My brother was born in 1938 his name is Orville Milligan. Our parents Carl and Violet Milligan. Dad passed away on Jan.21 1986 Mom will be 90 years young on August 16.We left Carrot River in 1952.Lived in Vancover then moved to Quesnel B.C.where we still resided to day.
