Good to hear from you Len. I've been thinking the same thing - regarding a 50 yr grad reunion. Perhaps it could be done with a couple of other grad classes - like 1961 and 1963. Any interest out there?

It has been some time since I was in Carrot River, but I have been thinking about it a lot lately. I'm sorry I did not attend the last reunion. If there is another one in the near future I'm sure I would attend. I graduated in '62.I would like to hear from classmates and others.

I am looking for any information on the Allenby family that was one of the first settlers there. My great grandfather Alfred Allenby made the desks for the very first school in Carrot River and was the on the school board and the Reeve of the town.

Great town, the historic monuments were epoch! I've seen a lot of small towns around Saskatchewan, perhaps most of them. And Carrot River stands superior over any other town!

I was born in Carrot River in 1945, leaving in Aug, 1963 when I joined the Royal Canadian Air Force. Have been back for visits fairly regularly and also for two class reunions. Was there this summer for several days visiting family. Walked the railroad tracks to the planer for the first time in about 50 years; brought back a lot of memories of when we used to go to the gravel pit swimming pool near the planer. Always nice to come home every now and then.

My father, Gordon Henry Pomeroy, lived and worked on his parent's homestead just outside Carrot River. He was one of six sons born to Robert and Sarah Pomeroy (nee Hills). In 1941 my father volunteered for the Canadian Army and was posted to England. He met and married my mother and never returned to Canada.

If anyone knew my father's family I would be interested in hearing from them.

Thank you.
